If you're looking for St. Kilda Jewelry, you've found us! The only thing that has changed is our brand name. The company was founded in 2004 by designer Nora Kogan. For the first five years we only wholesaled our line, and then in 2009 Nora and her partner, Karen Mancuso, opened their first store in Park Slope, Brooklyn. There you can see the largest assortment of Nora Kogan pieces, with new designs appearing in the cases regularly. Located in the former Conservation Plumbing storefront, our Fifth Avenue store also doubles as our studio. We're nestled among indie boutiques, quaint restaurants, and resilient neighborhood mainstays all with that unmistakable Brooklyn charm. We also have a large case of Nora Kogan jewelry at the legendary ABC Carpet & Home just north of Union Square in Manhattan.
All of our jewelry is made locally. New York City is rich with generations of skilled craftspeople and we won't even consider having our jewelry produced anywhere else. We use recycled metals whenever possible and we use conflict-free stones in all of our designs. We strive to be authentic and we do this by maintaining close relationships with everyone involved in producing the Nora Kogan line. Every piece is finished with great detail here in our studio and we hope that the spirit and intent infused in each piece is passed onto the wearer.
Our jewelry is delicate and requires care when wearing and handling. To preserve the integrity and finish of our jewelry, please remove when sleeping and showering.
Our signature wire necklace fasteners rely on tension to keep your necklace secure. The wire hook easily slips in and out of the hoop on the opposite end of your chain. Please do not bend or pull apart the wire fasteners as this will relieve the tension with the potential result of the necklace slipping off.
Enamel jewelry is delicate. It will crack if the metal is bent, and it could chip if the enamel is knocked. We don't recommend wearing enamel rings in a stack, as the enamel will scratch off if it rubs against another metal.
We are happy to repair, adjust or clean your Nora Kogan jewelry if necessary. There may be a fee connected to this service depending on the situation. All repair requests submitted after six months of purchase are subject to material and labor fees. For elective repairs such as resizing or chain lengthening, fees will apply.
Any order for jewelry (anything not in stock at the time of order) can take 6-8 weeks to produce. Although it's possible you will receive your order before then, we do need you to be aware of this order time. Orders must be paid in full before we put anything into production. If you'd like to know if something is currently in stock, please call or email us.
Items purchased from our Brooklyn store may be returned within 7 days of purchase for store credit only. Store credits expire after 60 days. There are no returns or exchanges for altered or sale items. No returns or exchanges after 7 days.
If you purchase something from our online store you may return it for a full refund - not including shipping - if you contact us within 7 days of receiving the item. You will be responsible for shipping the item back to us via FedEx.
Many of our pieces are available to order in gold or silver. We can often customize jewelry to suit your taste e.g. changing the type or color of stone or altering the metal finish. If you see something you like, please ask us about our customization options.
Beyond making adjustments to existing styles, we offer custom design and production services. Custom orders require a 50% nonrefundable deposit to start production, and because these pieces are made to order they are not returnable or refundable. Make an appointment to sit with Nora to discuss your ideas. She will design your piece and upon approval have it made. We can work with a variety of metals and stones, including existing heirloom stones to create new pieces. The possibilities are nearly endless.
